FAQs
We don’t just show you what to do—we break down the why. Every course dives deep into dog psychology, motivation, and the real reasons behind each step. For some concepts, we may even act them out (beer, Skittles, and our puppet Capernicus are sometimes involved). Expect PG-13 humor, plenty of self-deprecation, and zero guru nonsense. We’re real dog trainers making complex ideas easy to digest—mess-ups, laughs, and all. If you want perfect, polished, and boring, look elsewhere. If you want real-world results with a side of entertainment, you’re in the right place.
YOU—if you’ve got the drive to watch, learn, and actually put the steps into practice. Pet owners, K9 handlers, even experienced trainers—anyone ready for real results, grounded in canine psychology and logic. If you want your dog to love the process, channel their drive, and tap into what makes them a dog (not a couch ornament), you’re in the right place. We’ll show you how to turn their instincts—yes, even the predatory sequence—into training that works for both of you.
Buy it, log in, and you’re in—on your computer, phone, or whatever screen you’ve got handy. Everything’s mobile-friendly, so you can watch (and rewatch) as much as you want, whenever you want. Lessons are short and punchy—jump back to the one you need before your next training session. No expiration, no nonsense, just access when and where you need it.
Every instructor on WYP brings real-world experience—not just theory. I (Chris, WYP owner) have nearly 20 years working with everything from family pets to law enforcement and competition dogs, running a successful training business, and teaching seminars across the country. Any expert you see here is someone I’ve personally worked with, learned from, and respect for their results in the field. No armchair trainers—just people who’ve proven it where it counts.Want the full backstory? Check out our About page for the details.
If you’re not happy, let me know. I stand behind these courses and want you (and your dog) to actually succeed—not just add another unused training to your list. If you have a real issue or think something’s missing the mark, shoot me an email at info@workyourpack.com. I’m all about honest feedback and making things right—just know, I can see if you actually watched the material, so let’s keep it on the honor system.
So...Why the hell should I listen to you?
Chris here, owner of WYP—a brand that’s truly a product of failing forward in this industry for nearly 20 years.
- Dominance theory and the whole “alpha” approach? Embarrassed to say, I’ve done it.
- Force-free—the system that sells only to human emotion? Yep, I’ve been there too.'
- Balanced training in all its forms—without real, in-depth process or sequencing? Studied it, lived it, and hit the same walls you probably have.
These courses break down training systems that enrich your dog’s instincts and drive—while giving you the skills to motivate, communicate, and create harmony, whether you’re working with a family pet or a K9 pro. It’s about understanding how to train the dog in front of you that day—and working as a team.
Heres the truth
Real progress starts when you understand the actual motivations of a canine and the proper sequencing of information and language that makes sense to them. We’re not randomly trying to dominate dogs, and we’re not just hoping treats carry us through everything. We’re looking at dogs as complex, predatory animals—enriching what’s already in their genetics, and conditioning clear, coaching languages so we can actually communicate, provide structure, and offer direction.
None of this should feel random. None of this should be about baffling you with bullshit. It should be, “Oh—now that makes sense.” When it all connects, you’ll get that ‘aha’ moment—and you’ll probably notice a lot of what you learn here applies to humans, too.
After years running a busy pet training business in western Montana and traveling to teach seminars for trainers and law enforcement across the country, I’ve scaled all that back to focus on this. Now, most of my time goes into building these courses—sometimes it’s me in front of the camera, sometimes it’s experts I’ve met, learned from, and have real respect for. The goal: to bring you a training system that’s logical, actionable, and actually works for the dog in front of you—wherever you are and whatever your goals.
